Hello, I’m Jody
Founder & CEO of Wildfire Learning
After nearly 20 years in the academic world, I've cultivated deep expertise in safety-oriented operations, communicative leadership, and designing team culture.
My academic background has led me to develop robust expertise in a range of quantitative and qualitative methodologies, and deep analytical skills. I've led (and collaborated on) many interdisciplinary projects, consistently bridging the gap between academia and industry. My expertise as an organizational communication and behavior theorist has equipped me with a pluralistic toolkit that yields creative problem-solving approaches and non-obvious solutions.
I have a track record of delivering high-quality deliverables and award-winning research. I (and my team) approach consulting engagements much like we do research: We apply our analytical lenses to tough issues, seek deep understanding through collaboration and data analysis, and produce custom deliverables to ensure high quality and fit.

Designing Learning Cultures
Many organizations try to create a learning culture while maintaining a compliance/violation orientation toward accidents, and it never works. If you want to implement a “learning” or “just” culture in your organization, it’s crucial that the learning priority underpins every aspect of your technical documentation cycle - from policy, through standardized training, routines & procedures, incident investigation processes, and learning-oriented products.
